"Narthex, A solstice Journey" is an immersive installation and performance
Exhibition at Gossamer Fog Gallery, London
For four days, the Narthex Collective took over the space of Gossamer Fog Gallery for an immersive and experimental role-play performance.
The installation, created in collaboration with Samuel, featured a giant curved screen and a 3D environment built in Unreal Engine, which evolved in real time as the story unfolded.
In this chapter, our guild was teleported to London to prepare a ritual at Stonehenge during the Summer Solstice — a poetic mission to heal the world’s pain and free all beings from capitalism.
The entire journey was filmed and projected back into the gallery as we returned, creating a recursive experience where fiction and reality intertwined.
Open daily to the public, the installation included videos from various artists and reactive elements responding to performances. Visitors were invited to join at any time and take part in character-building sessions, sigil-making workshops, and even a soup-making ceremony.
The closing day of the exhibition featured live performances and three DJ sets, celebrating the end of the solstice journey.
