Fantasia Malware is an experimental video game label and collective based in Berlin.
For their hybrid performance The Life of Saint Fiona Bianco Xena, I developed the stage concept and design, working closely with the three creators of the play and video game — Jira Duguid, Chloë Langford, and Gabriel Helfenstein.
The play unfolds as a battle, where the three characters confront each other to earn the honor of knowing Fiona the best.
The set acts as a physical extension of the video game projected on screen — a living board game with distinct zones dedicated to each of the three challenges:

The first station features the hanging arch challenge.
The second hosts the custom dance pads for the dance duel.
The third is an interactive sculpture, rotating on two levels and built entirely from reclaimed materials. This experimental creature evolved alongside the writing of the performance, ultimately influencing its ending.
Special thanks to Jira, Chloë, and Gabriel for their trust and open collaboration throughout the process.
